"Hi Deb and Hal, We both wanted to say thank you so much for a great time! As you know this was a birthday gift for Todd, and everything exceeded our expectations and then some!! Todd had a great time at the clinic and walked away with alot of new info. His favorite part was the day in the woods - he affectionately refers to now as "Hals boot camp" ha ha ha! We both got spoiled by Deb's cooking .....it was phenomenal!! I have to admit we are currently going through withdrawls and reminisce about the meals. I look forward to the cook book! Hopefully, we will get a chance to come that way again - Todd mentioned going back for ATV riding, which we both love to do! Once again, THANK YOU so much for a great time!!! Sincerely, Todd and Valerie

"Hi Deb and Hal, Just wanted to write a quick note and say thanks again for a great clinic. My father and I really enjoyed your hospitality, Hal's knowledge, and Deb's wonderful cooking. You are really down to earth people, and we felt right at home, especially watching Hal blow out his birthday candles with his granddaughter on his lap! Hope you have a great summer. I'm sure we'll see you in the near future. Thanks Again."-- Brent and Scott Teweksbury

"Hal and Deb, I just wanted to say Thanks Again for the guide course. I learned so much more than I thought I would and makes me so much more confident. Hal is an excellent teacher and and very easy to learn from. I would also like to thank you personaly Deb for your GREAT meals and your hospitality!!! Thanks again for everything."-- Danny Chase

"Deb- Thanks for the "sustenance" and hospitality. I can't imagine a better outfitter experience exists in the state of ME.
Hal- My thanks and appreciation to you as well for sharing your skills and expertise. I put some of my learning to work up north where there was 2-3" of snow. Located the does and a few big bucks but with only two days to hunt I ran out of time. Much of what you said in the seminar and book have now been internalized with a week in the field. Still hoping to return for the ultimate challenge "tracking".
Best of luck during the muzzleloader season and thanks again."
-- Steve and Cindy Kinky

"Again I would like to say thanks to Deb for the great food and Hal for an excellent deer clinic. I received alot of information. Going to take the information and apply it to the deer in the adirondacks. You can use me as a reference. I have nothing but high praise for the work that you both have done. Thank You."-- Mike Hathaway

Registered Maine Guide School

A secluded lodge and sporting camp in Northern Maine. Built 10 years ago by Hal & Debbie, with the idea of giving people personalized service and an unique outdoor experience and knowledge with you. Hal first taught this course through the adult education in Jackman from 1994 through 1999. Primarily why we decided to teach this course through Cedar Ridge was that it made it easier for people from a distance to take a course. Being that they get their lodging and meals right here on the premises and they can finish the course in 3 & 1/2 days instead of going one night a week for 13 weeks.
