Moose Hunting

             

Since Maine has the largest concentration of moose per square mile, in the entire continental USA; we take moose every year that are 55" or better spread. To moose hunt in Maine, you must draw a permit. If you are lucky enough to draw the permit, we offer one-on-one Trophy Bull Hunts. It is the opportunity to hunt the moose of your dreams. Our guides are experienced callers and have the equipment to get your moose out. We hunt zones 4, 8, 9 and 14. First season and second season.

Maines moose hunt is a drawing only. Maine inland fisheries & wildlife will start taking applications in January. Applications must be in by march 28 (check IF&W for all appropriate dates & fees). The drawing is held in mid June.

Cedar Ridge does NOT take any bookings for the moose hunt until the Moose lottery winners are picked. Moose hunts are limited to no more than 9 hunters per week. Cedar Ridge Outfitters location is in Zone 8 For licensing & regulations go to www.mefishwildlife.com

One on One Moose Hunt $3,200 each
one hunter & subpermittee with personal guide.

A subpermitte is the "buddy" or "hunting partner" that you can list (but don't have to) on your moose application. As long as they are "with" you, they could shoot "your" moose. It doesn't mean 2 moose for that price, the hunt price just covers two people whether both are hunting or not, it could be a non hunting spouse or friend that wants to photograph your moose hunt.

Price Includes meals & lodging for your subpermittee, your own private guide, 3 hearty meals a day, lodging, sales tax, cooks/cabin gratuities, care of your trophy, getting your moose to the butcher (Care of the moose does not mean butchering the moose. The moose, and hide etc. is your responsibility once it reaches the butcher)
Price DOES NOT include your hunting license or permit.
Price DOES NOT include tipping your guide.
Price DOES NOT include butchering or taxidermy.

$1,000 deposit (check or credit card) is required at time of booking on all moose hunts. Deposits are non refundable, unless your cancelled spot is refilled.

Meals and lodging package, non guided
7 nights sunday to sunday $650 per person. Price includes 3 hearty meals a day, lodging, sales tax, cooks & cabin tips.

Lodging only prices (available 365 days a year)
$235 each - 6/7 nights (price includes sales tax & cabin gratuity). Add an additional $50 per person if your party only only consists of 2 people.
